City of Isanti City of Isanti BUILDING OFFICIAL A Community for Generations. The City of Isanti is accepting applications for a full-time Building Official. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the administration of the Building Code as adopted by the City, which includes: commercial and residential plan review, scheduling/conducting building inspections, mechanical inspections, plumbing inspections, rental inspections and coordinates the City Rental Licensing Program. Full benefit package available. This position works under the general supervision of the Community Development Director. Minimum qualifications: A high school diploma (or equivalent), valid state certification as a Building Official, one year of substantial work in the construction trade. Good communication and public relations skills are a must. Preferred qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Certified Building Official or certified Building Inspector and five years of substantial work in the construction trade.
